The summer of 2002 was a summer of memorable moments: Rich’s new semi-clean Sunday shows at Spicy’s; the first confiscated fake id at the Sandpiper; Rich’s wireless shorting out after he was pulled into the ocean on the conga line; Harry taking his clothes off for YMCA and Ray trying to cover him back up; Benito skate boarding on the bar; the farewell show at the Wine Cellar?; the last conga to WaWa?; just to name a few.   Hopefully you have lots of memories of your own that the pictures on the following pages will help to keep vivid in your memories.

Every show had its special moments, thanks to all of you.  I’m surprised all the time by how everyone seems to make this show their own.

Thanks to Rich and Carol’s purchases of digital cameras this year we had an abundance of pictures.  There are over 1,600 pictures contained in the following pages.  I’m not sure if that’s a record anywhere else in the world, but it’s one for the Rich Meyer websites.

Once again I must take the time to thank some people here.  First, I would like to thank all of you.  I wouldn’t have any fun (and certainly not this many pictures) without those of you who like to ham it up for the camera and all the rest of you letting me your pictures.  Secondly, thanks to Carol, Maryann, Jeff and all of by back up photographers.  Of course, I can’t forget to thank all of the owners, managers, bartenders, bar backs, bouncers and all the other staff for putting up with me and being so kind.   They really are some of the nicest people you will meet anywhere, and I miss them all winter.

I have to thank Rich and Carol.  We seem to have been doing this so long that we complete each others sentences.  There’s something comforting about being around people who know you that well.  Thank you for all that you do.
